The protection of your data and its use is important, and we want you to understand what information we hold, how we use it and what your rights are.  This privacy policy explains how we collect information, what we use the information about you for, the basis on which we collect it and your rights.

The information we hold is collected and managed by PumpGyms Ltd.  The website and agreements are all owned by PumpGyms Ltd.  Our registered office is at 42 High Street, Flitwick, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK45 1DU, United Kingdom

PumpGyms Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (the 'ICO') as a data controller under registration reference ZB536051.

When do we collect information

We collect your personal information when you:

  • Complete an Online Membership Agreement. We use a membership system a called Membr. Please see Membr privacy policy https://membr.com/privacy-policy/

  • Register your interest for upcoming PumpGyms opening locations.

  • Ask us for more information about a product or service, or contact us with a question or complaint.

  • Contact our Customer Services team through email or social media chat.

  • Enter your PIN number, finger print or face recognition into one of our gyms.

  • You have an accident in our gyms or there was an incident where you were a witness or personally affected.

  • When you book classes and inductions.

  • CCTV – when you are using our gyms.

  • When you use the PumpGyms app.

When using our gyms CCTV is being recorded 24 hours a day. CCTV is permanently erased after 31 days.

What information do we collect

The information we collect about you is required for the purpose of creating your Membership Account and for you to enrol in our gyms. Such information allows you to be identified as a member of Pump Gyms and includes:

  • Name, date of birth, gender, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, health declaration.

  • Credit or debit card information, information about your bank account number and sort code or other banking information. Note that we do not store your bank or credit card details on our web servers

  • Your usage records and duration of visits

  • Your contact with us, such as an email or other records of any contact you have with us

  • Your membership information – such as dates of payment owed and received, the services you use and any other information related to your account

How do we use this information

We will use your personal information to provide you with the services, products or information that you have requested, for health and safety, security and administration purposes, and marketing. We may need to share your information with our service providers, associated organisations and agents for these purposes.  We may use your information to:

  • Carry out an identity check as part of your membership application.

  • Process your membership application through Membr, our chosen membership software.

  • Bill you for using our services as part of your membership.

  • Keep you informed about our services including operational matters relating to your membership.

  • Provide relevant services to you.

  • Confirm your attendance to exercise classes.

  • To allow you to monitor your gym usage in your members area.

  • To share gym event photos on our social media platform (Your permission will be asked first before a picture is taken)

  • Respond to any questions or concerns you might have about our services.

  • Prevent and detect fraud or other crimes.

  • Operate our facilities in a safe and secure way.

OPT OUT

PumpGyms will only send you information relating to your membership. We will not share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes, unless you consent. If you cancel your membership with PumpGyms Limited we will only send you information that we think will be of interest to you. If you want to opt out of receiving marketing messages from us, please visit your profile section within the Members App. You can choose to opt out of all marketing. Alternatively, if you are no longer a member, and wish to remove your consent to receive marketing please contact by email your gym  @pumpgyms.com.

Changes to this privacy notice

We will update this privacy notice to reflect the way in which we process and protect your data. If we do so, we will post notice of the change on our website and you will have the opportunity to adjust your communications preferences via your Member Profile within the App.


How long will we hold your personal information?

Where we have personal information which you have consented for us to use we will hold it for the period the consent remains in force and any other period we need for regulatory or other legal reasons.  You may remove your consent at any time.

To add, update or delete any information we hold please contact us on the details below. We’ll then update your records if we can.

Please see below in relation to your rights to have data erased, rectified or for you to access it and for you to object to any processing or to transfer it.

Your Rights

You have a number of rights in relation to your personal information.

These are:

The right to confirm if we are using data about you and to access details about what we are using and how;
The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office;
The right to request we rectify any inaccurate data corrected or to have data which is incomplete for the purpose we hold it completed;
The right to be forgotten. Which is the right to ask us to delete information about you and if it is appropriate to do so we will do so;
The right to restrict what we do with data in specific circumstances, including where the accuracy of the data is contested, processing is unlawful but you do not want us to erase the data or if we only need the data to meet legal requirements;
The right to receive the data we hold about you in a format you can use to transfer the data electronically elsewhere.

You are also able to withdraw any consent you have provided for use to use your data at any time.  This is opting out and the process is set out below.

General

Your privacy and data protection is very important to us and we comply with all aspects of the Data Protection legislation and ensure that any third parties we engage do so. You can find out more about your rights to data from the Information Commissioners Office.

We’re based in the UK and your information will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Cookies

When you visit our websites, we may store some information (commonly known as a “cookie”) on your computer. Cookies are pieces of information that a site transfers to your hard drive to store and sometimes track information about you. Cookies are specific to the server that created them and cannot be accessed by other servers, which means that they cannot be used to track your movements around the web.
